Robert T. Howell, DVM, DC, FACO
Dr. Robert Howell has been in active chiropractic practice since graduating from Life Chiropractic University in 1981. Prior to that, he was a practicing veterinarian following his 1975 graduation from Michigan State University.
Dr. Howell earned his Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Veterinary degrees from Michigan State University. He is the first veterinarian to become a chiropractor, and is the originator of what is now called Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation, which is a recognized sub-specialty of Veterinary Medicine. He continues as a licensed veterinarian so that he can continue to legally adjust animals in Texas, (adjusting animals in Texas without a Texas Veterinary license is illegal.)
After practicing Chiropractic for several years, he returned to college at the Parker College of Chiropractic and awarded the specialty, Diplomate of Chiropractic Orthopedics. This advanced degree is much like a medical doctor’s specialty in that it gives deeper understandings of the leg and arm joints function and non-surgical treatments.
Dr. Howell’s adjusting certifications include Motion Palpation, Extremity Adjusting, Manual Spinal Decompression (Cox technique), Thompson, Diversified, Pediatrics, and Kinesiology. Being adept in these techniques gives a higher level of competence for treatment of all ages and a very wide variety of conditions.
Certification has also been awarded to Dr. Howell in general physical therapy modalities, and most importantly Frequency Specific Microcurrent, (also known as FSM).
